Makati has plenty of places to buy fruit, from weekend markets to upscale supermarkets, but good fruit at the right ripeness is harder to find than it looks. Here is a guide to buying fresh fruit in Makati and Rockwell, and how to have it delivered.
Your options in Makati
- Weekend markets: the Salcedo and Legazpi Saturday and Sunday markets have local fruit and some farm stalls. Go early for the best choice.
- Supermarkets in malls: convenient, with imported apples, grapes and citrus, but stock and ripeness vary and weekends are crowded.
- Delivery from a produce supplier: fruit picked for you and delivered to your home, condo or office.
